Our Story
In November of 2020, possibly after too much exposure to Channel 4 lifestyle documentaries, we set sail on our own country renovation project. We re-located from a perfectly pleasant and attractive commuter town, with our 6 week baby daughter, to the top of a valley in Carmarthenshire.
Our mission was to find a home in the traditional sense, but one that presented the opportunity to develop a period house and seek a way of life that meant spending more time together and embracing a new life in the great outdoors.
So what have our early years brought? We’ve converted an attic into a farm office, are now responsible for chickens and pigs, welcomed guests to share in the beauty of our environment, harnessed some DIY skills, employed seasonal staff, made new friends and have a very happy daughter in the local school.

We can offer supervised feeding times of our livestock.
Tours of the gardens and exclusive access to fields for picnics.
We invite guests with horses should they wish to explore the local bridleways (from the cottage gate). Stables and grass paddock charged separately.
Work for free board experiences available throughout the winter season.

Stay
Sardis Cottage is a two bedroom cottage nestled beneath the trees in our top field, with panoramic views. An ideal retreat for families and couples. Enter the cottage through a spacious porch for muddy boots and coats. Relax in the sitting room with a roaring wood-burner watching Red Kites swoop above.
Perfect for walkers and nature lovers with footpaths on the doorstep. Explore the Brecon Beacons, browse the boutiques of Llandeilo, discover a castle.
